Nabokov’s Gift

The work of the Russian writer Vladimir Nabokov has received movie adaptations that are, on the whole, more atmospheric than those of your average genius: Kubrick’s “Lolita” is memorable, and I’m also partial to the Fassbinder/Tom Stoppard version of “Despair.” Here’s a new, well-written consideration of Nabokov in general, by Roger Boylan.
