“Brokeback” Star Breaks Up
Apparently, there’s one person Heath Ledger can quit.
Ledger and his fellow “Brokeback Mountain” Oscar nominee—and parent — Michelle Williams have ended their three-year relationship together, both People and Us Weekly eport.
According to both reports, the split took place several weeks ago and was completely amicable. Reps for the couple have so far not commented on the possible separation.
The press-shy duo has spent the past few years domesticating in Brooklyn along with their nearly two-year-old daughter, Matilda Rose, who was born in October 2005.
The two first met back in 2004, while filming Ang Lee’s trophy magnet of a film and, per costars, merged their two trailers into one almost instantaneously.
The couple was rumored to have tied the knot in a below-the-radar civil union earlier this year, though legal documents for the alleged vow swap never surfaced, and reps for the couple, per usual, failed to comment on the speculation.
