“Priscilla” Musical To Play London
The musical version of 1994 Aussie movie “The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert” wants to reign over London, confirming plans to open in London’s West End in late 2008. “Priscilla Queen of the Desert — The Musical” has proved a hit in its native Australia, where it premiered in Sydney in October 2006. Musical opens this Saturday in Melbourne.
The show is billed as one of the largest to be staged Down Under, with 500 costumes, 55 wigs and 200 headdresses, not to mention the titular bus.
