Spidey Musical Sails Forth
So there was this workshop reading the other day of the “Spiderman” musical that director Julie Taymor is working on with U2’s Bono and the Edge. And who were the lead actors in this run-through? None other than Taymor’s “Across the Universe” stars: Evan Rachel Wood and Jim Sturgess. I have my doubts as to whether either one of them could handle eight shows a week on Broadway. If not hardy enough for live theatre, the two actors could always star in the “Universe” sequel that Taymor says she’s contemplating, along with the 52 other projects she’s got going right now.
