Dame Edna Is Ailing
According to the New York Times:
Barry Humphries, the Australian comic best known as the flamboyant Dame Edna, has been ordered by doctors to rest for six months because of complications from appendix surgery, Reuters reported, citing a spokesman for the Magners Glasgow International Comedy Festival. As a result Mr. Humphries, 73, has canceled a North American tour that was to have started this month. Mr. Humphries underwent surgery late last month for the removal of his appendix and is scheduled for further surgery this week, the spokesman said.
I saw the Lovely Dame Edna a few years back in Atlanta, GA and just loved her show. Best wishes for a speedy recovery to Mr. Humphries and thanks for the laughs over the years.
