LemonWade has learned that Estelle Parsons (pictured), known for everything from playing Rosanne Barr’s mother on television to an Oscar-winning performance in the movie “Bonnie and Clyde,” will be taking over the matriarch role in the Broadway play “August: Osage County.” Deanna Dunagan, who last summer originated this part — a drug-addicted, imperishable woman in small-town Oklahoma — at Steppenwolf in Chicago and who is the favorite to win a Tony for her performance on June 15, will be relinquishing the role on Tony weekend. Parsons will step into the part on Tuesday, June 17.
