Obama Out-Draws The Olympics

In the media focus today on McCain’s VP pick, it is easy to lose sight of just how inspiring Obama’s speech was last night. And just how popular: 38.4 million American TV viewers watched the coverage from the Denver stadium. That compares to the average of 34.2 million American viewers for the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympics. I suspect that even McCain supporters don’t expect their candidate’s acceptance speech next week in Minneapolis to draw this level of interest.
