In June, it was announced that Joan Allen and Jeremy Irons would star this spring in a new Broadway play, “Impressionism,” about a photojournalist and a New York art-gallery owner. Today, we learn that the pair are about to embark on another art-filled journey: they will be playing painter Georgia O’Keeffe and photographer Alfred Stieglitz in a Lifetime TV movie called “Georgia O’Keeffe.” And what does Mrs. Irons (actress Sinead Cusack) think of all this Joan-Jeremy face time? Well, she’ll be in New York, too; in fact, she’s here already, rehearsing a Chekhov play adapted by Tom Stoppard and directed by Sam Mendes.
