Opera Clip: Makeup, Please!
Three filmmakers – Werner Herzog, Dougal Wilson, and Sam Taylor-Wood (pictured) — have been commissioned by the English National Opera and Sky Arts to make a short film of an operatic aria. Taylor-Wood’s film captures a traditional performance of Leoncavallo‘s “Vesti la giubba (On with the greasepaint).” Here’s a clip.
