You Say Minsky, I Say Minksy

minskyab‘MINKSY’S HEADING TO BROADWAY’ — That’s Variety’s current headline (maybe fixed by the time you read this) on a story about a big musical, now in L.A., heading for Broadway. Of course, what it should say is “Minsky’s” not “Minksy’s.” I prefer the latter, even if it is a typo. Because from what my spies tell me, this $11 million dollar show, right now, doesn’t exactly look like mink, sable, or even chinchilla. Those spies say: the show looks kinda cheap. But in the theatre, there’s an optimist born every minute.
