Battered Rihanna Photo Posted
It was only a matter of time. A photo showing the bruised face and swollen lip of a woman purported to be R&B singer Rihanna (left) was posted on gossip site TMZ last night, giving the public an up-close look at injuries she may have sustained during an alleged attack by Chris Brown (right). (I have decided not to post the picture on LemonWade; if you want to see it, you won’t have trouble finding it on the Internet.) The Los Angeles Police Department immediately launched an internal investigation, as the photograph appears to have been taken during official police business. Penalties for leaking the photo could include termination. Brown was arrested on Feb. 8 under the suspicion of making criminal threats, has not been charged, and released a statement earlier this week saying he was “sorry and saddened” over “what transpired.”
