Britney Spears kicked off her tour last night in New Orleans, and the reviews have been impressive. Why am I a little dubious? Because the media are in the business of kicking celebrities down, the better to raise them up again. Call it the boom-and-bust theory of stardom. Brit’s on the up tick at the moment.
