Fonda ‘Fans’ Protest “Variations”

33varprotest4_1235274720Protestors  have been lining up (pictured) outside Broadway’s Eugene O’Neill Theatre before performances of Moises Kaufman’s “33 Variations”, which stars ‘Hanoi’ Jane Fonda, according to playbill.com. (The photo was taken at the February 22 matinee.) The protestors were drawn from the Vietnam Veterans Association, predictably, and the Gathering of Eagles, and were aimed at Fonda’s infamous role as an anti-war protestor in the 1960’s. What really sums up the sentiment is contained on one of the one guys dry-erase board. It reads: “If you don’t support Vietnam, you don’t support the Troops.” The protestors will likely show up again tonight when the show officially opens.
