Rudd: Let’s Retire “Bromance”

love-you-manThey may call his movie a “bromance,” but don’t tell that to “I Love You, Man” star Paul Rudd, who said he hates that word “almost as much as the word ‘closure,’ adding, “It’s one of those words that kind of came about in the past year, and then it’ll go away. I hope so.” I have a way that these increasingly lame buddy movies can disappear: Hollywood can stop making them! Jesus, these endless tales about guys who like each other more than they like women. Either they should just cut to the chase and do the nasty, or they should focus on their female love interests, as movies used to do before adolescent gay-panic-driven geeks started sitting in the director’s chair.
