Carrie Fisher “Drinking” At Studio
Plus ca change. Actress/writer Carrie Fisher (pictured), who in the flush of “Star Wars” fame in the late 1970s was known to hit a nightclub or three, will be bringing her one-woman show, “Wishful Drinking,” to Studio 54 in the fall. “Studio,” as it was long ago called, is now a performance space run by the Roundabout Theatre. (“Waiting for Godot” is the current tenant.) Carrie appreciates irony, so the fact that her show, which has had successful runs across America, will land in a former drug den must be pleasing her no end.
