In the running for the lead role in Martin Scorsese’s upcoming biopic of Frank Sinatra are George Clooney, Leonardo DiCaprio, Harry Connick Jr., Justin Timberlake, and … Jamie Foxx? The Academy Award-winning actor famous for his portrayal of Ray Charles is reportedly considered “perfect†for the Sinatra role. According to an unnamed source, “Cool is color-blind. Jamie would seem to be born to the role.” If he is chosen for the part, it will be one of the most prominent examples of “color-blind” casting in Hollywood history. And if Foxx does land Sinatra, does that mean Leo can play Sammy Davis, Jr.?
