Not so fast: It turns out that the monarch’s London residence has made an unlikely appearance on a shortlist of venues that have been nominated for their key role in the development of jazz. Highlight: in 1932, Louis Armstrong broke with strict protocol by dedicating a song to King George V with the words: “This one’s for you, Rex.” Hah-cha-cha-cha-cha!
