Continuing her long and fruitful forays into Ethel Merman territory, Patti LuPone (pictured) will do “Annie Get Your Gun” at the Ravinia Festival from Aug. 13 through Aug. 15 of next year. Brian Stokes Mitchell will also star. “Gypsy” was done at Ravinia in 2006 and headed to New York the next year: could “Annie” also be a Broadway warm-up?
