NY Times Hypes “Modern Family”

The New York Times spoke ex cathedra today: ‘“Arrested Development,” which ended in 2006, was the last great family comedy on television, and “Modern Family” [which premieres tonight, is] the best new half-hour of funny television in a season rife with half-hours of funny television.’ The reviewer ends with: ‘I can’t imagine who’d fight ‘Modern Family.”‘ As one who didn’t laugh once at “Arrested Development,” not even when Liza Minnelli guested, allow me to brush off my boxing gloves.
