Broadway “Hamlet”: My Review

hamletHere’s my FT review of the Jude Law “Hamlet,” which has just opened on Broadway. Money quote: ‘[Law]’s physical fluidity…is marvellous. He is head boy in his swagger, gymnastically using Rosencrantz and Guildenstern’s shoulders for support, and scuttling dexterously in reverse during his “if like a crab you could go backward” remark to Polonius. And Law conveys paranoia – the court is a nest of spies, after all – with a mixture of fear and self-deprecation.’
