Glam-bert Unveils CD Cover
Adam Lambert unveiled the cover for his forthcoming debut CD, “For Your Entertainment,” on his official site yesterday, and the ether has been abuzz with deconstructions. It reminds Adam fans of art for “The Neverending Story” and “Starlight Express.” Me, it gives me hope that gender bending might return full force to popular music. The “American Idol”-ization of the U.S. has promoted a kind of bland sexuality; Adam Lambert is restoring glam to pop music.
I, for one, thinks he looks ridiculous. Whether he’s trying to “bend genders” or not, it’s a tacky, laughable excuse for an album cover. So was his photo spread with a naked chick in a men’s mag recently.
