Ebène Quartet Plays “Pulp Fiction”
Surfing through the upper end of my TV dial last night I encountered an Ovation program filmed at the Verbier Festival in Switzerland. Four young French musicians were sawing away on their string instruments. They were the Ebène Quartet. I leapt out of bed and checked out their website. An hour later, I was still listening to them. They play Schubert, Debussy, Ravel, but also movie music (“Pulp Fiction,” in video above) and jazz.
