HBO: F-to-M Gender Switch
HBO is in development on a half-hour drama series that explores the gender transformation of a woman into a man. That’s a welcome move on the network’s part: past explorations of gender changes (“Normal,” with Tom Wilkinson, “Transamerica,” with Felicity Huffman (pictured), “Second Serve,” with Vanessa Redgrave) have dealt with the male-to-female story. With real-life cases like that of Chastity Bono in the news, it’s time to redress the balance.
