Americans, who have never shied away from TV, are more attached to the tube – and fatter – than ever. The average person watched four hours and 49 minutes of television a day in the 2008 to 2009 season, an all-time high. Before you get too judgmental, ask yourself: how much TV do I watch on a given day? And, yes, CNN and MSNBC and CNBC do count as TV watching.
