The First Film “Christmas Carol”
I know, I know: you’ve barely taken off your Halloween costume and you’re being assailed by Christmas. (Thanksgiving is now the Forgotten Holiday.) My semi-Scrooge dislike of Christmas’s religiosity, music, and commercialism are well-known to my friends. So what better way for lemonwade to kick off the season than with this recently re-released clip from the earliest film version (1901) of “A Christmas Carol”?
