Why Sports Trump The Arts
Why do the arts — up to and including video games and TV reality shows — have such an impossible time competing with sports? Because in most entertainment you know the ending by the halfway mark; in sports, often, you don’t. For proof, just witness the finale of the Colts-Patriots game last night, which kept half the East Coast up past its bedtime. Unbelievable.
