Denzel, Davis Swing For “Fences”
Should Denzel Washington and Viola Davis (pictured) start clearing mantel space for their Tony awards right now? That was my first response after hearing the official announcement that Davis will join Denzel in the Broadway production of August Wilson’s “Fences” in April. Davis, of course, was robbed of an Oscar for “Doubt” — if I were still a Tony voter I would attempt to redress the balance.
