Why Is Figure Skating Music So Bad?
I’ve long watched Olympic figure skating not for the music but for the tacky costumes (which, this month, of course means Johnny Weir, pictured). In fact, I usually watch the skating with the audio off, because I can’t stand to hear one more excruciating arrangement of “Swan Lake” or “Scheherazade.” Anne Midgette of the Washington Post shares my pain.
