Polanski To Direct “God Of Carnage”

polanskicapt.photo_1279120337567-1-0Maybe Polanski should have been extradited. Now that he’s free to move around Europe again, he’s decided to direct the film version of Yasmina Reza‘s play “God of Carnage,” a worthless, pretentious piece of tripe that was a hit in London, Paris, and New York. And get this: Polanski will set the movie in New York, even though he can’t travel there. But just as he used Germany to double for Martha’s Vineyard in his recent (first-rate) movie, “The Ghost Writer,” so will Polanski find European substitutes for America in “God of Carnage.”
