Atheists Know Most About Religion

New survey results released by the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life are not all that surprising: in America, agnostics and atheists are more knowledgeable about religion than are Protestants and Catholics. Why is this not surprising? Because people who have grown up in our intensely religious culture and have rejected its organized spiritual tenets usually have had to think before evolving. And in the process of thinking they have picked up a few facts. You know: facts, reality — those things that aren’t very prized in America 2010.
