Some people might say that Jennifer Lopez is having a moment: she’s a new judge on “American Idol,” and she just set up a dramatic comedy for herself on ABC. For me, it’s more like desperation: her movie career isn’t working, so she’s going great guns on the small screen, afraid that if she’s not before the camera for more than two seconds a day that she’ll disappear.
