“The Office” Does “Sweeney Todd”
Thursday’s installment of “The Office†set aside its usual strategy of chasing four or five parallel story lines to focus on an amateur production of “Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street†featuring Andy Bernard, a musically inclined “Office†mate played by Ed Helms. The episode featured some surprisingly faithful renditions of “The Ballad of Sweeney Todd†(in the clip above), “Johanna†and “By the Sea.â€
