Lisa Chodolenko, the director of “The Kids Are All Right,” may be cynical about the “gay martyr” movie (“Milk,” “Brokeback”), but if Annette Bening, one of the lesbian leads of “Kids,” had been killed at the end of that flick then her Oscar chances would go up exponentially.
