When I first saw this story, I thought: My God, Ryan Seacrest is atop the Hollywood Power List. A triumph for the blow dryer, I concluded. But not to worry: he’s only number one on the Reality Power List. Or, rather, “reality,” since most of that genre are as contrived as so-called scripted shows.
