This is our “culture” now: everybody wants to be famous for a minute and everybody thinks he/she has astounding talent. (Memo to most of you: you don’t!) Why am I stating the obvious? Because more than 20,000 people showed up to audition for Simon Cowell’s “X Factor” in Newark, New Jersey, this morning. Newark Mayor Cory Booker — who is highly inspirational but who can’t stay out of the media glare for one minute, else he’d implode — tweeted about the pandemonium.
