“Downton” Downed At Bafta Awards

“Downton Abbey” was shut out of the TV Bafta awards yesterday, losing the best drama trophy to “Sherlock,” starring Benedict Cumber-thingie and Martin Freeman (pictured). I don’t imagine that “Downton”‘s Dowager Countess, played by Maggie Smith, was ruffled by the news. “Commoners,” she probably sniffed.
