BBC Show Reveals Oliver Sacks

Yesterday, I told you about a BBC series I’d like to see: “Fake or Fortune.” Today, I draw your attention to another Beeb show, “Imagine.” It begins with a program about neurologist and writer Oliver Sacks. Left partially sighted by a tumour, Sacks has written a recent book, “The Mind’s Eye,” in which he investigates how vision and perception work. “Imagine” interviews some of Sacks’s intriguing case studies, interweaving these with stories from the sprightly scientist’s own life. Sacks’s big revelation is that he has suffered from life-long face blindness, leaving him unable to recognize those he comes into contact with.
