Will Ratner Ruin The Oscars?
There’s almost as much groaning about Brett Ratner (“Rush Hour”) being named to direct next year’s Oscars as there is with the naming of Oprah to a humanitarian Oscar. I’m not going to pre-judge Ratner. This past year’s Oscars were helmed by gay dudes and they were among the worst broadcasts ever. So why not give a fast-car-loving, poker-playing, ego-maniacal guy like Ratner a chance?
