Your Weekend: LW Recommends

Movies: “Tower Heist” sounds like something to watch on a plane, but at least it has Eddie Murphy back to serious wisecracking. (And outta drag.) At 65, Charlotte Rampling still has fizz, which is why I’d like to see the new documentary “Charlotte Rampling: The Look.” Television: If you’re feeling a little bit cornpone, watch Steve Martin‘s “Give Me The Banjo” on Friday. Also, “Terra Nova” on Saturday, in spite of the meh reviews. Music: I can’t bring myself to sample Susan Boyle’s “Someone To Watch Over Me.” Not sure yet what I think of Wale’s “Ambition.” Books: I despise Kennedy worship, so I’m pointedly avoiding Chris Matthews‘ “Jack Kennedy: Elusive Hero.” But I might dip into Stephen King’s “11/22/63,” which of course refers to the date of JFK’s assassination. Sports: Giants/Patriots game? Definitely. Also starting to follow the build-up to the Pacquiao-Marquez fight. Finally: Think UNICEF work begins and ends with trick or treat? Hah! Haiti still needs your help; UNICEF is there.
