Plummer Dishes “Sound Of Music”

Christopher Plummer, who so far is the closest the early Oscar season has to a frontrunner (for his supporting performance in “Beginners”), might want to lay off his dishing of “The Sound of Music” during the awards-campaign season. In this roundtable, he calls it “awful” and “gooey.” (His shorthand for the movie is “S & M,” which is wittier if not exactly accurate.) Plummer also says that the “drunk stage” of his life provided the best roles. Really? Better than now?
