The Latest Stephen Sondheim News
No, I’m not talking about the fact that he will write new songs for the movie version of “Into the Woods” that Rob Marshall will be directing. I’m talking about the fact — and you’re reading it on LemonWade first — that Sondheim has been meeting with playwright David Ives to discuss possible ideas for a new show. Ives has been in the news this Broadway season for his hit play, “Venus in Fur,” starring Nina Arianda and Hugh Dancy. No word yet what Sondheim and Ives may be hatching; I’ll keep you posted.
