“Chariots Of Fire” To Be A Musical

“When I run I feel His pleasure.” Will that line, from the 1981 Oscar-winning film “Chariots of Fire,” turn up as a lyric for the new musical version of the picture, which will debut in London in time for the British capital’s Olympic games? “Chariots of Fire” is the story of two runners, played by Ben Cross and Ian Charleson, facing down anti-Semitism in the 1924 Olympics. The production will feature music from Vangelis‘ Oscar-winning score plus additional music and arrangements by Jason Carr, Tony-winner for “Sunday in the Park With George.”
