Dolores Hart: God Is The Bigger Elvis

“God Is The Bigger Elvis,” one of the nominees for Best Documentary Short Subject at this year’s Oscars, is a portrait of the actress once known as Dolores Hart, who had a decent career for a while (costarring in “Loving You,” “Miss Lonelyhearts,” “King Creole,” etc.) until she decided to hang it up and become a nun in 1963. Now 73, she lives in a Benedictine retreat in Connecticut and is called Mother Prioress. The ultimate career change, although Hart explains that Hollywood and the Catholic Church are not all THAT different.
