Even though “Game of Thrones” is an HBO series and “The Hunger Games” is a movie, it sometimes seems as if they are iterations of the same thing: both based on a best-selling series of books, both using crown/ring imagery in their posters, and both about to take the country by storm. All of pop culture right now seems to be divided between them.

All of entertainment is a game. Sports consists of almost nothing but games, so why should movies and TV be any different?
