Crowe Set For Aronofsky’s “Noah”

Something tells me that this won’t be an old-school (i.e. Charlton Heston-y) version of the Biblical story of the ark. Darren Aronofsky (right) is to direct “Noah,” about the Great Flood guy, who will be played by Russell Crowe (left). I have zero interest in Noah, but beaucoup interest in Aronofsky, so I guess I’ll have to go. Lest you need reminding, the director’s last project was “Black Swan.” I keep imagining a reiteration of that film: “Black Swan: Superhero,” with Natalie Portman able to destroy villains with a single pirouette. Maybe Darren can get on to that one after he’s done with the Bible.
