Tonight’s TV: Margaret Mitchell & Harper Lee
Here’s some must-see television for tonight: two American Masters documentaries on PBS: the first, airing at 9 pm EST, concerns Margaret Mitchell, the author of “Gone with the Wind.” But it’s the second that interests me especially: “Harper Lee: Hey, Boo,” about the author of “To Kill A Mockingbird.” Among other things, we are informed that the generous couple Michael and Joy Williams Brown financially aided Lee so that she could write uninterruptedly for a year, time she used to compose “Mockingbird.”
