Liza Forced To Fly Coach Class

Liza Minnelli performed to a sold-out Hollywood Bowl on Saturday, then made a mad dash to New York for composer Marvin Hamlisch’s wake on Sunday. The showbiz icon was in such a rush, she was forced to fly coach. “[Liza] changed her first-class flight home and could only find a coach ticket at the last minute,” a source said, adding the flight was delayed till 4 a.m. and Minnelli was “holed up at the airport.” Upon arrival, she rushed to the Frank E. Campbell Funeral Chapel just in time. Frank Campbell’s, of course, is where Liza’s mama’s funeral was held back in 1969.
