Globe To Screen Shakespeare Abroad

Three plays performed last year in London’s Globe Theatre, a reconstruction of one of the homes of William Shakespeare’s plays, will be screened in movie theaters in the U.S., Australia, New Zealand and the U.K. starting this fall. The plays feature some TV and movie star power, including Eve Best (“The King’s Speech,” “Nurse Jackie”) as the witty Beatrice in “Much Ado About Nothing” and Arthur Darvill (pictured), of “Doctor Who” fame, as the foreboding but troubled demon Mephistopheles in Marlowe’s “Doctor Faustus.”
