New York Times Prefers Pussy To Cock

Every time I read a story about the punk band Pussy Riot (pictured) on the New York Times website (the band was found guilty today in Moscow of hooliganism), I smile at the stupidity with which that “family-friendly” media outlet won’t allow the word “cock” in its pages (as in the off-Broadway play “Cock,” which is an advertiser) but love to splash “pussy” on the front page. Double standard, methinks. (I realize that the New York Times’ stupidity is minor compared with the oppressiveness of the verdict rendered today against Pussy Riot.)
