Hipster Sitcom Destined For Ridicule

I don’t think that this is the way for NBC to find a desperately needed hit: the network has bought the pilot currently going by the title Untitled Hipster Project. According to sources, the show, from The Daily Show’s Josh Lieb and comedian Nick Thune, is about an “un-hip” anthropology student who finds himself living among Brooklynites and studying their ways. “Behold the aspiring children’s librarian in her natural habitat, Instagram-ing her artisanal meals.” Dear NBC: I live in New York City, and I wouldn’t be caught dead watching this show. So what do you think your prospects are for viewers not just in Peoria (you’ve already written them off) but in Boston or San Francisco?
